Viessmann helps households and companies transition to energy-efficient and sustainable technologies – heat pumps, solar systems, ventilation, and more. Their website contains extensive documentation, technical parameters, certifications, and product comparisons. However, the average visitor often doesn’t know where to start — and needs answers immediately.

Large volume of data

Our internal documentation consists of more than 5,000 technical documents, each spanning dozens of pages. Each contains detailed information about product lines, manuals, installation, and service. It was difficult for both end users and partners to quickly navigate this data. In addition, we had to take into account our internal guidelines, GDPR requirements, and the need for precise routing to specific service or sales channels.

Provides answers based on a complex document structure

With Kanbu.ai, we created an expert AI assistant capable of working with a complex document structure, including images and metadata. The agent supports shared datasets, uses contextual caching, and can manage access based on user type. If the answer is unknown, it redirects the user to a specific contact form. We implemented a mechanism for removing indexes after documents are deleted and added legal disclaimers for the partner portal.
